HISTORICAL ATTRACTIONS IN NEW BRUNSWICK AND CENTRAL JERSEY
The Central Jersey Convention & Visitors Bureau is happy to provide information about any the multitude of historical attractions you can find in Central Jersey.
Take a look at beautiful Central New Jersey through the eyes of its glorious past. For example, you could visit the Bill of Rights Arch in the Perth Amboy Public Square. This site was erected in 1989 to pay tribute to New Jersey as the first state to ratify the Bill of Rights back when Perth Amboy was the state capitol. Perth Amboy is also home to Saint Peter’s Church, New Jersey’s oldest Episcopal church. It was built in 1698. And, if you are a pundit of 20th-century history, consider visiting the Vietnam Era Educational Center in Holmdel. There you can learn about the political, military, and societal significance of the period.
These are only a few of the many historical sites and tours available in the Central Jersey area. Central Jersey includes all of Middlesex County as well as much of Monmouth, Mercer, Somerset, and Union Counties, and each county has something unique to offer.
