CENTRAL NJ WEATHER
At the Central Jersey Convention & Visitors Bureau in New Brunswick, we know that Central New Jersey weather usually falls into 4 distinct seasons, like much of the Northeast. Though winters can be harsh at times, the abundance of snowfall creates the perfect environment for skiing and snowboarding. Then spring arrives around late March or early April, with typical temperatures falling into a 60-degree range. The snow melts away, and you know that Central Jersey flowers will soon arrive. The area feels as if it’s awakening from its winter slumber. Though the nights can still be quite chilly, the daytime weather is typically pleasant.
After Memorial Day, summer weather patterns emerge. There may be a great deal of rain at times throughout the month of May, but by June, warm weather and sunny days dominate. Central Jersey summers can get very hot and humid, so don’t let the Northeastern location fool you. However, by August, the area cools down dramatically. Around late September, the beautiful golden, red, and orange hues of the area’s picturesque forests start to emerge. Like most of the Northeast, Middlesex and the neighboring Monmouth, Mercer, Somerset, and Union Counties are known for producing lovely foliage every autumn.
Come to Central Jersey, and enjoy each of the unique seasons that we experience annually. If you need more information about our weather, contact us at Central Jersey Convention & Visitors Bureau today.
